Fanshots are simple. Anyone can post them, and they're simply funny or interesting tweets, good articles, or sick pictures about Texas Tech sports that you find lying around.
Fanposts are essentially a forum. You have two main options with fanposts: serious or silly. Silly fanposts can be anything from a recipe for venison queso (I've got a killer one) to an Oscars discussion thread. Serious ones should be taken more seriously. If you would like to argue your position on a topic, cite your sources. If you want to post an emotional tirade, make sure you abide by our rules. We aren't above righteous anger here on VTM, but we do strive to keep our anger pointed at the right places and to always treat others with respect.
The last big fanpost rule is the biggest one, which is why it's in a separate paragraph: do not repost an article word for word, or even close to word for word. Link it in a fanshot. Reposting it in a fanpost is plagarism, and I will strike it down with a cruise missile if I see it.
Other than that, have fun commenting and discussing Texas Tech sports on line!
