Basketball Gameday Thread: Texas Red Raiders (9-1) at Richmond Spiders (5-4)

The Red Raiders travel to Richmond to face the Spiders today at 11:30 AM CST.

Texas Tech picked up a blowout win over Nicholls State this week and look to stay hot before Big 12 play begins. This will be the Red Raiders first time playing outside of Lubbock since they played in the Cancun Challenge earlier this season. This game is also the earliest tip-off the Red Raiders have had all season. The Spiders are 5-4 on the year, but don't let their 4 losses fool you. They lost to Maryland by just 6 in overtime and suffered a 3-point loss to Old Dominion their second game of the season. Richmond is usually a pretty solid basketball program and we should be in for a good game today. Texas Tech won 85-70 last season and are 6-point favorites today.
