Just when you thought we had it all figured out.

Red Raiders drop Home Finale To Texas.

The Red Raiders came up short 37-45 against an equally struggling Texas team. The Red Raiders’ defense stayed true to the “bend, don’t break” principle which would have key defensive stops, and not to mention the insane Douglas Coleman play. It was the Red Raiders’ offense that would sputter in the later half of the game. It was also arguably Mahomes’ worst performance to date with him throwing an interception in the end zone to cap off his performance and end the game. The Red Raiders travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma to face the Cowboys of Oklahoma State this Saturday at 2:30 PM.

Both Texas Tech Men’s and Women’s basketball shine in first games of the season

Although it isn't officially the beginning of the season for both programs, they held their respective exhibition games this past weekend. The men took on Missouri Western State and put on a show Friday night. The Red Raiders routed MWS 92-40 with Anthony Livingston, Justin Gray, Norense Odiase, and company all getting heir numbers. The women hosted Midwestern State University on Sunday. The offense came out guns blazing defeating the mustangs 121-56. The men will return to action this Friday when they tip-off their regular season with Houston Baptist making the trip to Lubbock. Tip-off is at 6:30 PM. The women begin their campaign this Sunday against North Dakota at 2:00 PM.
