After the Iowa State Cyclones "squeaked by" our Red Raiders 66-10, fans had a few interesting things to ask for this week's mailbag. Let's get right into it!
@vivathematadors @Maitland_TTU why hasn’t Kliff been fired yet?
— Jonathan (@Jon1443) November 22, 2016
Kliff has not been fired yet because I don't believe he's going to be. This has not been the type of year Red Raider fans expected for sure, but it is what it is. I don't think Kliff is going anywhere soon because as much as some fans want him gone, that begs another question: Who would Texas Tech hire to replace him? I don't see any top-tier coaches on the market right now who would be attracted to the idea of coming here.
@vivathematadors @Maitland_TTU so ? Is this, are changes for change sake always a good thing? Will it make us better or make us feel better?

I don't believe changes for changes sake are always a good thing, especially when it comes to Kingsbury. Just to hire someone new so Kliff can get out of here would set this program back, I believe. Tech would probably lose even more recruits adding to the horrible attrition rate of the program. It may make those fans who are no longer Kingsbury supporters feel better, but will it make the program better? I don't believe so.
@vivathematadors @Maitland_TTU Seeing as we're a baseball school, how do you think we're looking this year before games start up?
— Meagan Taylor (@MMeaganTaylor7) November 22, 2016
I see another possible deep postseason run! Tech is losing talent in guys like Eric Gutierrez, Zach Davis, Stephen Smith and Tyler Nesloney but there are still guys on the roster who stepped up well for this team last season. I expect a lot good things coming from guys like Davis Martin, Orlando Garcia, Michael Davis, and Tanner Gardner. I think Texas Tech has become a baseball school with coach Tim Tadlock taking this team to two College World Series appearances in the past three years. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do this year!
