As Texas Tech prepares to take on Iowa State and basketball is now in season, fans submitted questions for us to answer. Let's see what they had to say.
@vivathematadors @Maitland_TTU Tell me. Do you bleed?
— Jonathan (@Jon1443) November 15, 2016
When I cut myself? Yes.
@vivathematadors @Maitland_TTU chances that Tech and Cal both get to 6-6 and play in a bowl against each other?
— Coach Smith (@AVCoachSmith) November 15, 2016
I would like to see a Patrick Mahomes vs. Davis Webb bowl. I think it will be tougher for Cal to go 6-6 than Tech because they have a game against Top-25 Stanford this week. I think Cal will lose that one and miss out on being bowl-eligible. Tech has a bit easier path with 2-8 Iowa State this week and a Baylor team without Seth Russell next week.

What is the probability of us losing in Ames this weekend?
Anything is possible with this inferior defense. Tech has beaten the Cyclones every year since 2012 and I do predict that winning streak will continue this week. However, I do expect ISU to play them close the whole game as they did during 2014.
@vivathematadors @Maitland_TTU is it officially that "thank god basketball's here" time of year in Lubbock?:/ #WreckEm

As a Texas Tech fan, I'm glad basketball season is here. Fans here in Lubbock are definitely excited to see what Chris Beard brings in his first season as head coach and if Candace Whitaker can get the Lady Raiders headed in the right direction. It should be a very exciting season of Texas Tech hoops.
@vivathematadors @Maitland_TTU I definitely think we have more endurance as a team, but injuries remain an issue. Any theories as to why?
— Travis Lofley (@TravisLofley) November 15, 2016
Injuries have impacted the Red Raiders this season. Linebacker Jordyn Brooks and running back Demarcus Felton were the latest to be struck by the injury bug this past week. Injuries happen and you never know when they're coming. However, I think the biggest things I've seen hurt this team are sudden player retirements, like Justin Murphy, and players being held out due to incidents off the field.
@vivathematadors what do you think a realistic outlook is for the defense over the next few years compared to the Big 12 & rest of the NCAA?
— Brad Litt (@hairculesx) November 15, 2016
I think if Tech keeps Gibbs and some of the defensive commits stay loyal, this defense can be better than 126th in the FBS. I don't believe it will be a drastic leap into the top-10, but could jump to the 50-90 range. If this year's defense was ranked that high, Tech would not be 4-6.
