According to a report from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Pat Mahomes, father of Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes II, was arrested for public intoxication yesterday at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. Per the report, the arrest occurred at 5:45pm, close to the end of the game between TCU and Texas Tech.
There appears to have been some sort of “incident” between Mahomes and a 26 year old in the stadium, who was also arrested on a public intoxication charge according to the report. The tweets below seem to indicate Mahomes went into the TCU student section, provoking a response from one or more people there, ultimately resulting in the arrest of Mahomes and the other fan.
I totally support the @TCUstudentsect getting Mahomes dad bounced from their section. We didn't owe TT any advantage.

Patrick Mahomes dad came by us in the student section to watch and talk to Mahomes, and they kicked him out because a student made a scene.

According to the Star-Telegram, both men were released by Sunday morning. At this time, it is unknown whether the other man who was arrested is a TCU student, fan, or if he is not affiliated with TCU at all.
Pat Mahomes was a Major League Baseball pitcher for over a decade before retiring in 2003.
