Reports started appearing early this afternoon that Coach Fran had negotiated a settlement, but then he wasn't, or at the very least a bit premature. If I'm Byrne I make a similar hire to Turgeon, a guy who may not be as high-profile, but is a great recruiter who is willing to stick it out at A&M for a long time.
