The Texas Tech Red Raiders earned the No. 6 seed in the South Region of the 2021 NCAA Tournament, where Chris Beard’s squad will match up with the No. 11 Utah State Aggies.
Here’s a quick look at the South bracket:

Lots to unpack here. This is certainly a tough region, but it’s not beyond conquering.
Texas Tech potentially could face Arkansas in the second round, assuming both teams handle business against Utah State and Colgate, respectively. This is already a difficult matchup for Tech. Moses Moody is a gifted guard, and the Razorback have an athletic team that plays great defense.
If Tech makes it far enough, it could face Ohio State (a team I feel is vastly overrated) and the Baylor Bears, arguably the best team in the country. We’ll talk about those teams if the opportunity presents itself in the next couple of weeks, but for now, let’s celebrate another NCAA Tournament appearance and enjoy March.
