This new football coaching staff at Texas Tech has already lost one of its key members as Jovon Bouknight will leave the program immediately to take the same position at Oregon. Head Coach Matt Wells brought Bouknight over from Utah State when he was hired in December.
Mario Cristobal will hire Jovon Bouknight as @oregonfootball's new wide receivers coach, per a @FootballScoop report. Can't go wrong with a @wyomingalumni

Bouknight was hired on December 5th, just days after the hiring of Matt Wells was announced. He played his college ball at Wyoming and had multiple thousand yard seasons before attempting to play in the NFL. Bouknight was on Matt Wells’ staff at Utah State and helped lead them to a successful season last year.
#TexasTech this afternoon has officially announced the hires of S&C coach Dave Scholz, outside WR coach Jovon Bouknight, OL coach Steve Farmer and RB coach DeAndre Smith. All expected, all coming from Matt Wells' Utah State staff.

He will take the receivers coach job at Oregon under head coach Mario Cristobal. This puts the Red Raiders in a tough position to hire a new outside receivers coach now as spring practices start in less than a month and with spring workouts well underway.
There are no rumors at this time as to who Texas Tech and Matt Wells would target for the position, but I believe that this is a crucial spot to hire someone good as this offense relies on outside receivers to be great.
