This homecoming weekend was filled with victories and heartbreak as all of our teams were in action whether it be playing or recruiting. We’re also venturing closer and closer to the spring sport season so watch out. Anyways, here’s the quick hitters from this weekend.
Tech soccer drops first home game to TCU
- There were two goals scored in the first 10 minutes, one from each team.
- TCU scored in the 50th minute to put them up for good.
- This is the first game Tech has lost at home this season.
- The Lady Raiders will play next on Wednesday in Waco.

Lady Raiders Volleyball loses to No. 1 Baylor
- Lady Raiders get swept 3-0
- Sophomore Emily Hill earns 1,000th dig and 1,500th kill in this game.
- Next up for the Lady Raiders is Oklahoma at home on Saturday.

Men’s Basketball hosts 5-star prospect
- The team hosted class of 2020 5-star combo guard Nimari Burnett.
- Burnett is the 28th best prospect in the nation according to many sources.
- He would be the highest ranked prospect to ever sign with Texas Tech.
- Texas Tech is one of final four teams for Burnett.
