As the season progresses, the list of Red Raiders seeing some play time in the NFL gets shorter and shorter.
Sunday was not a good day overall for the Kansas City Chiefs as they suffered their second loss in the same number of weeks. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes had a fantastic first quarter, but that was all his sprained ankle would allow. Early in the second quarter, Mahomes took a hit from Texans linebacker Benardrick McKinney. In that same play, Mahomes threw an incomplete pass, twisted his ankle, and smacked his head off the turf. He only completed 54 percent of his passes against the Texans. Still, he showed a strong rapport with the return of Tyreek Hill and threw three touchdown passes for the first time since Week 3. They will face the Broncos on Thursday, so he doesn’t have much time to ice that injury.
This play was the game.#Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes appears to re-injure his ankle and also smacks his head off the turf.

Keke Coutee was part of the Texans team that defeated the Chiefs. He caught four of six targets for 39 yards and played a season-high 47 snaps in the win. Wednesday’s practice should tell where Coutee will continue to play as the number three receiver or if Stills is healthy enough to return to face the Colts in week seven.
After Houston beat Kansas City 31-24, it was cool seeing this Red Raider moment of Patrick Mahomes & Keke Coutee hugging on the field.

Jaguars’ Cody Davis went down with a hamstring injury in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. It is unclear how he sustained that injury, but he did not return to the field. The Jaguars have not released any more information on the extent of that injury. He had a single solo tackle and one tackle assist in the loss.

Danny Amendola seems to be recovering from his chest injury. He had not seen action since week three. The Lions experienced multiple controversial calls from the refs. Offensively, they didn’t have much going for them either. Danny Amendola only had one catch with six yards on Monday. The Lions fell the the Packers 23-22.
A few Red Raiders remain in the roster but saw no playtime this week. Dolphins’ Jakeem Grant was inactive for 2nd straight game for Miami as he is dealing with a hamstring injury. Miami still has not won a game this season. Raiders had a bye week, so Dakota Allen and DeAndre Washington had some much-needed rest after their trip across the pond. They will face the Green Bay Packers in week seven.
