There’s only 78 days until the first snap of Texas Tech football! Today, we will be talking about our number 78, Terence Steele. Steele is a 6’6 junior from Cibolo, Texas. He will be looking to be one of the best offensive linemen in the Big 12 this year as he enters his third year as a starter in Lubbock.
Steele was a 3-star prospect out of Cibolo Steele High School in Cibolo, Texas and chose Tech over three Power 5 schools. He was redshirted his freshman year and has been anchoring the right side of the offensive line since. In his freshman year, he was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Second Team by Athlon Sports.
With his huge 6’6 and 320 lbs. frame, he will be a force to be reckoned with along with ESPN Freshman All-American Jack Anderson on the right side of the line. This offensive line should be one of the strengths of this offense, especially with the questions at quarterback. Running backs Da’Leon Ward and Tre King should be just as excited that Steele will be entering his third season as the Red Raider’s right tackle.
With all five starters returning, this offensive line is looking like it can be one of the best in the Big 12 and could help lead this team to impressive rushing numbers. Terence Steele will be a huge part of that and will also be a leader in protecting whichever quarterback takes the first snap of the season 78 days from now.
