Another Texas Tech wide receiver is on an active roster in the NFL. Dylan Cantrell was signed by the Los Angeles Chargers today after being drafted by the team in this year’s draft. Cantrell was drafted in the 6th round by the Chargers but suffered an injury that resulted in him being cut by the team.

Cantrell was a standout during his time at Texas Tech. He played in 46 games, racked up 1,873 yards receiving, and 19 Touchdowns during his time in Lubbock. Dylan was a captain during his senior season and was an All-Big 12 honorable mention.

Cantrell will join Michael Crabtree, Keke Coutee, Cameron Batson, Danny Amendola, Jakeem Grant, Derrick Willies, and Bradley Marquez as former Red Raider wide receivers who have all been on NFL rosters this season. Additionally, Cantrell joins a former Red Raider in Anthony Lynn who was a running back at Texas Tech from 1988-1991.
