All the pieces are there for this Tech baseball team. Hopefully, they have the mental strength to fix to lock up small weaknesses in time. Tech has incredible talent that will rival the competition. I believe that a College World Series appearance is absolutely in their grasp. As we know with most Texas Tech programs, mentality plays a huge role in success. They have to go in confident not cocky with the talent they have without feeling like the underdog. Winning the national championship would be a pleasant surprise, but that is not far fetched. It is a very realistic and attainable goal for this Tech baseball team.
Best case scenario and most likely scenario - Tech goes to the Pac. Worst case scenario - a revamped Southwest Conference and Tech is part of that rebirth.
Best unit of defense? Most worrying? (I. E. Secondary, linebackers, line...)

During the last spring game, I noticed the run defense was swarming the ball and would close in on runners quickly. Hopefully, this bodes well for creating more turnovers. Also, the Secondary is improving. David Gibbs is stressing playing aggressive. There is still plenty of room for improvement, but seeing more aggressive play on the field is always on the right track.
Has Xavier pushed enough to get the backup QB position?

It’s hard to assume if Xavier pushed enough. Shimonek shows more maturity and awareness due to his experience. Xavier will get there.
