Jones committed to the Red Raiders just two days after his official visit on December 9th. Jones joins Riko Jeffers as the second linebacker recruit and eighth defensive recruit for the 2017 class. During his JUCO career at Butler, Jones racked up 176 tackles, 12.5 sacks, six pass breakups, seven forced fumbles with six recovered one being returned for a touchdown, and one interception that was returned for a touchdown. With D'Vonta Hinton returning next year and the rise of young linebackers like Jordyn Brooks, Brayden Stringer and Johnathan Picone I expect Jones to fit right in with this group.
