Texas Tech Baseball Signs Gabe Holt 2017

Texas Tech Baseball signs 2017 shortstop, Gabe Holt! This is a huge get for a baseball program who lost so many to graduation and the draft last season. Perfect Game has Holt graded as a “Potential Elite Level College Prospect”.

Holt has great speed with a good arm from the shortstop position. Both of those attributes good see him get some time in the OF depending on the development of Ochoa and Fowler currently on Tech’s roster. Decent exit velocity off the bat that will only improve as he gets stronger going through off-season’s under Tim Tadlock.

This has to be one of the biggest signings for Tech baseball in recent history and Gabe Holt should definitely help get the Red Raiders back to the College World Series sooner rather than later.
