Texas Tech’s season is not completely on the edge of being a bust, but another loss at home could really have it’s repercussions. As stated before, this will be Mayfield’s first return to Lubbock suited up as a Sooner. He played a season at Texas Tech before transferring to Oklahoma.

The Red Raider’s Contest with TCU Has A Kickoff Time

Earlier today, the kickoff time for Texas Tech’s trip to Forth Worth was announced. The Red Raiders will take on the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian at 2:30 PM. This in-state rivalry has produced some exciting games in the past few years. Texas Tech looks to avenge their home loss from last year. They also look to avenge their 82-27 loss in Forth Worth in 2014.

Kliff Kingsbury Apologizes

After the 48-17 loss to West Virginia this past Saturday, Kliff Kingsbury spoke to Chris Level and said, “that's as bad as I've ever seen Texas Tech play, I'd like to apologize to the fans, student body and alumni." Kliff Kingsbury has had a history of making subtle statements, but has never really showed emotion in his press releases or on the sidelines. This recent one has the fan-base wondering what the future will look like with Kingsbury at the helm, and then there are fans that are wondering what it will look like without him. The Red Raider’s are 3-3 and it feels like the sky is falling.
