This past weekend, the Huskies of Houston Baptist and the Northern Colorado Bears journeyed to Lubbock to take on a stacked Red Raiders lineup. The anticipation was very high throughout Red Raider Nation for one man in particular: Nate Rombach. A freshman phenom out of Mansfield Legacy, who was also drafted to the Miami Marlins in the 2019 MLB Draft but decided to forego The Show to follow through on his commitment to Tech.
No doubt about it.

Rombach didn’t disappoint at all. As of now, the freshman is batting at an even .500 average, with 15 RBI’s and 5 home runs; three of which he hit in the second game of the Houston Baptist series. Red Raider fans everywhere are definitely proud to have this kid on the roster. If his debut proves one thing its this: this kid can rake.
