The arrivals of Mac McClung and Marcus Santos-Silva boosted the Texas Tech Red Raiders men’s basketball team into the preseason AP Top 25 after finishing last year unranked.

Tech, ranked by the AP as the No. 14 team in the country, boasts one of the deepest back courts in the country, with McClung, Kyler Edwards, Nimari Burnett, Kevin McCullar, Micah Peavy, Terrence Shannon Jr and Chibuzo Agbo all expected to contribute significant minutes outside the perimeter.

The Big 12 Conference remains the strongest in the country, with Baylor coming in at No. 2, Kansas at No. 6, Tech at 14, West Virginia at No. 15, and Texas at No. 19.
