PREVIEW
WHAT TO EXPECT | KenPom thinks that Texas Tech has a 7% chance of winning this game and if Texas Tech is going to build on the Nebraska game throwing out a competitive game on the road would be a start in the right direction. Iowa St. head coach Fred Hoiberg is doing it correctly with the Cyclones as they're in the top third of the country in offensive efficiency and in the top 20 in the nation in defensive efficiency. You can expect a very rabid fanbase and a tough defensive team in Iowa St. Hopefully Texas Tech remembers that if they play defense like they did against Nebraska, then they'll be in the game.
KEY MATCHUPS | Is it just me or is anyone else concerned that Lewandowski is tired all of the time. I get that he's a big man and he's going to be in as good of shape as guards, but it seems that he's tired all of the time. Now, Lew will be asked to guard a fairly athletic and outisde-shooting forward in Vanderbeken. It wouldn't surprise me if Roberts is asked to guard Vanderbeken, but he's 6-11 and Roberts has been foul-prone. I'd love to see the hot-shooting Roberson continue, but he needs to keep in mind that if he's not hitting his shots, then he needs to get his teammates involved.
