PREVIEW

WHAT TO EXPECT | A possible win? I don't want to tease you, but KenPom is predicting that the only conference game that Texas Tech will win is against OU, but in Lubbock. Nevertheless, one of the two worst teams in the Big 12 will have a win by the end of the night. To OU's credit, they've played a pretty tough non-conference schedule (Kentucky, Arizona and Cincinnati) and like Texas Tech have been blown out in all 3 of their conference losses (Texas A&M, Baylor and Texas). Still, the Sooner's losses haven't been as bad as Texas Tech's and 2 of their conference losses happened on the road.

KEY MATCHUPS | I'm surprised that OU starts such a small lineup, but that type of athleticism could be problematic for Texas Tech. I should be careful what I type. Both athletic teams and non-athletic (i.e. big teams) teams are problematic for Texas Tech. Still, considering the lineups, as long as Singletary isn't asked to guard someone that is significantly quicker than him, I feel somewhat comfortable about Texas Tech competing. Thankfully for Texas Tech, Fitzgerald is Oklahoma's best rebounder, but this is a front line that you would think a combination of Cooper and Lewandowski can have an impact. I'm also waiting for someone to step up offensively, which I don't know when that happens. Right now, the offense looks like a bunch of guys just running around and there seems to be little purpose as to offensive movement. It would be nice if someone, anyone, would assert themselves offensively, but at the shooting rate for Texas Tech, that's just not happening.

FOUR FACTORS | Relatively even. Woooooot!!!!
