On Friday afternoon, the Red Raiders faced-off against FAU and started the weekend off right with a 7-1 victory. Sophomore Clayton Beeter started the game off right with a perfect game going into the fifth inning when the Owls finally got someone on-base. At the plate, Cody Masters got himself a two-run homer that helped extend Tech’s lead. Junior Parker Kelly and senior Brian Klein also had themselves an RBI each.
It's not always about how far you hit it.

On Saturday night, John McMillon caught himself his first win on the year as Tech rallied back after being down 5-4 at the end of the sixth inning. Sophomore Dru Baker forced extras with a home run with just one out in the ninth. Finally, in the 11th, freshman Dillon Carter forced a walk to become the winning run when junior Dylan Neuse knocked an infield base-hit to lift the Red Raiders to a 6-5 victory. Cole Stilwell went 2-for-6 with 4 RBI’s at the plate and Brian Klein went 2-for-4 on the day with just one run scored. Sunday brought the Red Raiders another tough game but Tech would ultimately pull out a 4-3 victory in which Ryan Sublette got himself the win and Andrew Devine recorded the save. Freshman Cal Conley had himself a day going 1-for-4 with 2 RBI’s.
Not a bad little trip to the Sunshine State.
