The Red Raiders found themselves in postseason play for the fourth straight year and the bats started hot. After posting 11 runs against Army, Dallas Baptist was able to hold Texas Tech to a total of 6 runs in two games. While picking hitter of the week can be difficult with how good this team is offensively, Cam Warren was in a league of his own.
Warren has been one of the best offensive weapons for the Red Raiders all season and the senior stepped up in the biggest moments. Cam batted .500 during the Lubbock Regional and hit a home run in each of the three games. Warren was a scoring machine with eight RBIs on his five hits and in Sunday’s game against Dallas Baptist, his home run led to the only runs that were scored for the game.

Many Tech fans believed Cam Warren should have been the Co-Big 12 POTY along with Josh Jung, and this weekend he surely made some voters regret their decision. Warren has proven to be an integral part of the lineup and if he continues this hot streak we may see him get intentionally walked more often than not.
Texas Tech will move on to the super regionals next weekend where Warren and company will face off against either Connecticut or Oklahoma State. Either way Tech will be back at the Law next weekend so make sure to pack the park as Red Raider fans always do.
