It has been announced that two former Texas Tech Red Raiders will be representing the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA Summer League next month. That’s right, Keenan Evans and Dusty Hannahs will be competing for an NBA contract this summer! Both played for Texas Tech back in the day as Dusty Hannahs played from 2012-2014 and Keenan Evans played from 2014-2018. Hannahs did transfer to Arkansas after his second year in Lubbock, but remember that was a dark time in Texas Tech Basketball History.

Hannahs played with the Memphis Grizzlies on a 10-day contract this past season and played with their G-League Affiliate, the Memphis Hustle, for the remainder of the season. Evans bounced around a bit this season, originally playing for the Detroit Pistons G-League Affiliate the Grand Rapids Drive before being traded mid-season to the Philadelphia 76ers G-League Affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, where he teamed up with former teammate and 1st Round Pick Zhaire Smith.

Both of these guys have ties to Lubbock and both will be representing the University on one of the biggest stages in basketball! Best of luck to both of these guys as they attempt to pursue their dream of being in the NBA.
