There’s only 96 days until the Red Raiders are led on the field for the first time by Matt Wells and that means today we will be talking about one of the team captains and leaders on the defense, Broderick Washington. Washington is a senior defensive lineman out of Longview, Texas. He redshirted in 2015 and has made an impact ever since, playing in every single game from then on, and starting since his sophomore campaign.

He is not a huge sacks or numbers guy but what he does is play great run defense, stopping runners in the interior. He will be crucial in this new defense where Washington will be responsible for the interior. His skills in stopping the run have been elite the past couple of years and he will for sure be the best defensive lineman on this team going into the season.
