Another Texas Tech backup has announced that he is transferring from the University. Colt Garrett, a fan favorite, has announced he is going to transfer from the University using the graduate transfer rule. He is a Lubbock native and came from Roosevelt High School here in Lubbock.

Garrett has been a walk-on quarterback in this program for three seasons. He has played scout team quarterback, and has even gotten some game action this past season, throwing for one touchdown and coming in a couple of times for kneel-downs.

Another quarterback has left the team. That leaves just four quarterbacks on the roster, Alan Bowman, Jett Duffey, Xavier Martin, and walk-on Caleb Griffin. We wish Garrett the best in his endeavors.
