Texas Tech has 20 more minutes to play tough hard-nosed basketball before they’re named Big 12 champions. Iowa State is doing everything they can to make sure that doesn’t happen.
A couple big ones there before the half.

Marial Shayok was questionable coming into this game, but ended up starting this game and coming out with a bang early. Shayok has six points already in this game. Lindell Wiggington, who gave Tech fits last season, has also been able to provide in this game adding nine points of his own, while Talon Horton-Tucker leads the Cyclones with 10 points.
Jarrett Culver is doing what he can, playing tough defense and putting up 12 points. While Davide Moretti is making his shots with eight points of his own including an absolutely clutch three-pointer to close the half.
Tech is so close yet so far away from its first Big 12 championship.
