Chris Beard is the mayor of Lubbock, and the king of the Big 12 conference. After losing some of the best seniors in program history, and a top NBA draft pick, Texas Tech was picked to finish seventh in the preseason Big 12 poll.
However Beard ignored the doubters and put in work, developing Culver into a superstar and picking up the most important grad transfers in program history.
