Yes, ladies and gentlemen, sophomore left fielder Dylan Neuse hit that grand slam that helped the No. 3 Texas Tech Red Raiders rally for a series-clinching 10-7 win over Kentucky on Saturday at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park, but that was just one of two homers and multiple runs this weekend for the Flower Mound, Texas native.
He had a slow start on Friday. He flied out to right field in the second and then struck out swinging in the fourth, but I’d like to think he was just warming up. He hit a double down the left field line in the sixth allowing Brian Klein to score, and finally scored with the help of Cam Warren’s double down the left field line He finished Friday’s game with one RBI, one run, and one hit in four at-bats, but Saturday was when he showed his true colors.
It's getting Neuse at the Law!

On Saturday, Neuse led the team with five RBI Saturday, recording his first home run as a Red Raider in the second inning before the game saving grand slam in the fifth inning that put Texas Tech ahead 8-5. He finished with two runs out of five at-bats on Saturday with the pair of home runs.
On Sunday, he continued to play an integral part in adding runs to the score board for Texas Tech. He hit a double to right field in the third which put him on base and scored in the next play after a home run by O’Tremba. In the sixth inning, he singled to center field allowing Josh Jung to score. He scored another run with the help of Warren who flied out to left field. HE finished game three of the series with two runs, two hits, and two RBI in five at-bats.
Overall this season, Neuse has hit safely in all six games as a Red Raider and recorded an RBI in five straight games. Before coming to Texas Tech, Neuse Played one season for coach Mitch Thompson at McLennan Community College where he compiled a .333 batting average with eight home runs, 44 RBI, 61 runs scored and 19 stolen bases in 58 total games played. During his career at McLennan, he hit seven triples to rank 17th in NJCAA and helped his team to a 44-15 overall record, including 25-7 in conference and an appearance at the Region V Tournament.
