Let’s take a look at college football’s top 25 in week 11 according to the fans:
biggest winners:
• Baylor, for rising to no. 6 from no. 10 after surviving TCU in triple overtime, 29-23.
• Minnesota, for shooting up to no. 7 from no. 13 after handling Penn State, 31-26
biggest losers:
• Wake Forest, for dropping from no. 18 to no. 23 after losing to Virginia Tech, 36-17
• we’ll say Alabama, who only dropped from no. 2 to no. 4 after losing to LSU, 46-41, but proved that they might not be the team to be in the CFP this year.
Texas Tech fan confidence (football):
Looking back this has been a wild ride. The Arizona loss had near the same effect on fans as the Kansas loss did, albeit Arizona being a little steeper. Yet since then, with the passing of time over a bye-week and a win against West Virginia in Morgantown, Red Raiders are finding more hope in the program going forward. This weekend, against TCU, Wells will have a chance to put Texas Tech on the cusp of bowl eligibility as well as to notch another important win at home.
Texas Tech fan confidence (basketball):
Well it’s indisputable: Texas Tech basketball is hype-city. Although we’ve played much lower-tiered teams, we should know from Kentucky’s latest blunder against Evansville that no opponent is undeserving of their due respect. Coach Beard has proven alongside of a lethal lineup that Texas Tech basketball is here to play this season.
