Offensive player of the week: T.J. Vasher

The wide receiver made jaw-dropping catches in Tech’s season opener

NCAA Football: Mississippi at Texas Tech Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

Our first offensive player of the week award for the 2018 season goes to wide receiver T.J. Vasher.

The sophomore collected 66 yards on four receptions last Saturday, and was the just behind Antoine Wesley on the receiving leader board after game one. The award goes to Vasher this week because not only did he average almost 17 yards per catch, but he made a few incredibly difficult catches in the game. His Odell Beckham style, 31-yard long reception was nothing short of impressive and took social media by storm. We expect to see even more catches like these from the 6’6” receiver this year.
