The Red Raiders have been outclassed and outmanned so far.

Texas Tech couldnnot have had a worse first half. Two interceptions, 35 points given up and a banged up starting quarterback have Kliff Kingsbury and company searching for answers.

Alan Bowman has had the worst half of his very young career going 9/20 for 123 yards and a pick. He also was sandwiched after a third down incompletion which caused him to go to the locker room, his status is uncertain. Jett Duffey came in to back up and after gaining a first down with his legs he subsequently threw an interception himself.

The defense has been difficult to watch as West Virginia has scored a touchdown in five of their seven full possessions. Marcus Simms has had the game of his life so far with nine catches for 138 yards and a touchdown. Will Grier has also been able to sling it all over the field throwing for 278 yards and three touchdowns and it’s only halftime.

Tech has a lot of work to do in order to make this a competitive game.
