Johnson will never admit it, but he breathed some life into this team. The sack was huge, but more than that he brings confidence and swagger the secondary was lacking.
Guess who’s back?

A huge sack by Jah’Shawn forces an OKST 3-and-out! We’ve got it at the Tech 23.

The coverage across the board improved, and the secondary looked so much more prepared with the veteran safety back on the field. A secondary that had been scorched by every team but Lamar, suddenly shut down a potent Oklahoma State passing attack.
A game everyone predicted to be a shootout became a West Texas butt-kicking, and Johnson is a large part of that effort. He finished tied for tackles on the night, and that sack forced a big three-and-out.
Johnson revived a lot of fan expectations last night for this defense, and I look forward to watching him going forward.
