Red Raiders in the MLB: Tomlinson, Coulombe both remain on minor league teams

Kelby Tomlinson – San Francisco Giants

Tomlinson appeared in two games for the Giants this week. On July 30 against the San Diego Padres, Tomlinson went 1-3 at the plate and scored a run. On August 2, he pinch hit against the Arizona Diamondbacks, but went 0-1 at the plate. He is batting .226 with the Giants right now. The Giants optioned Tomlinson back to the Sacramento River Cats on August 4.

Daniel Coulombe – Oakland Athletics

Coulombe has not appeared in a game with the A’s since June 22 against the Chicago White Sox, however, he still remains on the 40-man roster. He plays with the Nashville Sounds minor league team at the moment. Since last week, he has pitched in two games for the Sounds. On July 30, he pitched two innings, giving up one earned run on three hits while striking out one. On August 3, he pitched for one inning, not giving up any earned runs. His ERA went down from 3.44 to 3.26 between the two games.

Josh Tomlin – Cleveland Indians

Remains on the 10-day disabled list.

Chad Bettis – Colorado Rockies

Remains on the 10-day disabled list.

A.J. Ramos – New York Mets

Remains on the 60-day disabled list.

Nathan Karns – Kansas City Royals

Remains on the 60-day disabled list.
