Four-star wing Kevin McCullar has committed to Texas Tech. He reclassified to the recruiting class of 2018 after originally being a part of the class of 2019. With this commitment, this brings the class of 2018 total to 5.
At 6’6, McCullar bring scoring and athleticism to the program as he averaged 16.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game last year at Wagner High School in San Antonio, Texas. He has said that he will sit graduate high school in December and enroll at Texas Tech next spring and get a head start on his fellow recruits.

McCullar will most likely play the small forward and the shooting guard position for Coach Beard. He has athleticism that will translate to success on the basketball court and early, as he will most likely get playing time as soon as the 2019 season.

This is a really exciting get for the Red Raiders and Coach Beard as this is the second four-star prospect he’s gotten this year. Along with Khavon Moore and Kyler Edwards, these three make a very impressive young core that can grow together.
