Former Texas Tech Red Raider Zach Smith has signed a training camp contract with the Charlotte Hornets. The 6-8 forward signed an training camp contract that will allow him to spend training camp with the Hornets. Smith will be able to earn his way onto a roster spot with the Hornets. Smith has already signed a contract with Charlotte’s G-League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm, and will now have the opportunity to train with the top flight organization.

Smith was a mainstay with the Red Raiders, as he played all four of his collegiate years with the school. He is 2nd all-time in school history in blocks. Smith’s main calling card is his highlight dunks, and his amazing prowess on the defensive end.
