Red Raider Ravioli: Expectations

We have to talk about something, summer will end sooner or later

Buongiorno!

summer and college sports aren’t on the same page, so sometimes offering contents isn’t that easy. On the other side, this allows creating something alternative.

The next sport coming up is football, as in six weeks, Texas Tech will open its season against Ole Miss (and I think you heard this many times). Concerning this, there are a good news and a bad news.

The good news is the game will be one of the four ESPN will broadcast on that Saturday. The bad news is the game will be at 11 a.m., hoping this won’t be the first of a long litany of morning games, like 2017 was.

Ok, I’m done with the news today, and I’d like to focus on today’s topic. The Italian website on which I bet gave its opening line on Texas Tech’s victories for this season. The mark is set at 6.5.

Now, at the moment I decided to suspend my judgment, but I think in the end I’ll decide to go with less than 6.5 wins. My expectations aren’t particularly high this season, mainly because I think the Red Raiders don’t offer any kind of security on the offensive side.

They will play with a quarterback that has 23 completions in its college career (at best, if the winner of the competition will be McLane Carter) and a receiving unit that has little to no experience at high levels. And let’s hope Clayton Hatfield will stay healthy, or special teams will be a problem, too.

Now, it’s your turn. The line is 6.5 games. We’ll talk about results next week.
