BREAKING: Senior running back Demarcus Felton announces intent to transfer

At 10:00 am, Texas Tech running back Demarcus Felton tweeted out that he intends to spend his last year of eligibility at another institution.

Felton played three seasons as a Red Raider, totaling just under 500 rushing yards in 82 attempts. His playing time trended significantly downwards between the 2016 and 2017 seasons despite Texas Tech’s upward trend of calling more run plays; so it isn’t surprising to see Felton yearning for a more appropriate fit. As of now there is no more information regarding restrictions but one could imagine Kingsbury will allow Felton to play where an opportunity arises.
