The Texas Tech Red Raiders continue to struggle finishing a series. They were defeated by the Texas Longhorns on Sunday afternoon.
Starting pitcher for the Red Raiders was junior Ryan Shetter. In three innings, he allowed four hits, three runs, and one walk. Ty Harpenau took over in the fourth and the junior from Fort Smith, Arkansas, had a total of 60 pitches in four innings. He allowed five hits, three runs, and one walk while striking out five. Freshman Kurt Wilson only completed 14 pitches, but allowed one walk and one run. Senior Dylan Dusek had 23 pitches and allowed two hits. Jose Quezada was the last on the mound.
The only Red Raider home run of the afternoon was a solo homer over the left field wall and it came from Cameron Warren. Through the afternoon Warren managed two hits and a RBI. Gabe Holt and Grant Little both scored on a two RBI single through right field by Zach Rheams. Rheams himself scored on a sacrifice fly to right field from Cody Farhat.
The last home home game of the regular season will be Tuesday at 6:30 against DBU.
