The Red Raiders tie up the series with a 16-5 blowout over the Texas Longhorns after dropping the series opener 12-6.
Caleb Kilian got the start and pitched a career-high 6.1 innings. The Sophomore allowed four runs on six hits with two strikeouts. His performance earned him the win and brought his record to 8-1. Caleb Freeman, Jose Quezada and Connor Queen all made appearances on the mound with Queen pitching a full inning of shutout baseball.
Where Tech really shined was in the offense, which put up 16 runs on 13 hits. Cody Farhat was the hero of the game going 4-4 with three runs and three RBIs. Josh Jung and Michael Davis each put up a home run. Davis’ came in the second inning and gave the Red Raiders an early 1-0 lead. Jung’s came in the fifth inning and brought in Klein to bring the score to 6-1. In total, seven Red Raiders recorded hits and eight recorded runs.
