#3 Texas Tech Red Raiders vs #7 West Virginia Mountaineers
Game time
May 25th (Fri): 7:00 PM (FCS)
Probable starters
TBA vs TBA
The matchup
The Red Raiders stay alive to take on the Mountaineers in the third round of the Big 12 big 12 baseball tournament. Texas Tech comes in after eliminating the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a 6-2 victory. West Virginia comes in after falling to TCU 1-8.
Players to watch
Kyle Gray leads the Mountaineers with a .363 batting average. In 193 at-bats, Gray put up 43 runs on 70 hits with 37 RBIs and 14 home runs. Last night against TCU he managed two runs in four at bats, but failed to put up any runa for the Mountaineers.
Prediction
Texas Tech hasn’t played West Virginia since late March and the Red Raiders won that series in Lubbock. West Virginia hasn’t played very well after losing the final three series of the regular season. As long as the Tech offense plays consistent, then this matchup should bring win No. 40 for the Red Raiders.
