The Red Raiders look to bounce back against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Texas Tech comes into the matchup after dropping the opening match up to the Horned Frogs while Oklahoma State comes in after being upset by 7th seeded West Virginia. Both teams face elimination from the Big 12 tournament however the Red Raiders are still a lock to host a regional.

Players to watch

Sophomore 1B Michael Neustifter leads the Cowboys with a .310 batting average. He struggled against the Mountaineers yesterday but is still one of the most dangerous hitters the Cowboys have.

Prediction

Both teams played abysmally in the opening round. Oklahoma State committed a whopping five errors against West Virginia while Texas Tech just couldn’t find a way to bring runners home. Texas Tech did just sweep Oklahoma State last weekend and the Cowboys have not been the same team that led the Big 12 at one point. Look for Texas Tech to bring the bats today and the Red Raiders win this one to advance to thw semifinals.
