D1 baseball top 25: expected drop

Texas Tech lost three games in a week and couldn’t maintain its status

Let’s be honest, a team can’t go 1-3 in a week and expect to remain in a position inside the top 5. This just happened to Texas Tech, that lost the series against TCU and the Tuesday game against No. 7 Arkansas, consequently seeing its stocks drop to no. 9.

The d1baseball.com latest ranking doesn’t see many changes, as there’s no new entry at all, but there are many impressive rises and falls. An example is Oklahoma State, one of the three Big 12 teams along with Texas and Texas Tech, that swept Oklahoma and moved to the position no. 17, gaining six spots.
