The last regular season series is off to a great start in Stillwater as the Texas Tech Red Raiders defeat the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Game 1.
Starting pitcher for the Red Raiders was Dylan Dusesk. In two innings, he allowed two hits and one run. He also managed one strike out in his 27 pitches. Ryan Shetter took over the mound in the third inning. He pitched for six innings allowing three hits, three runs, and three errors late in the game. He also had six strikeouts in 85 pitches. Jose Quezada finished the game for the Red Raiders. He allowed two hits in the ninth but did not allow the cowboys to score again.
Michael Davis started the weekend with a home run. It was a two-out, two-run, two RBI homer over the Red Raider bullpen giving Tech the lead. The hit also scored Zach Rheams. Gabe Holt’s RBI single scored Cody Farhat. With bases loaded, Cody Masters tripled to right center scoring Josh Jung, Brian Klein, and Gabe Holt. Masters the scored on a wild pitch. Cameron Warren hit an RBI double to left center scoring Davis.
Red Raiders face OSU on Friday at 6:30 pm for game two.
