The matchup

The Red Raiders kick off a five game road trip with a two game set the Arkansas Razorbacks. This will be the first top ten matchup for Tech since the Red Raiders split a two game series with Louisville back in March.

Texas Tech comes into the matchup 32-9 (10-5) and ranked #4 after going 2-1 last weekend against Oklahoma. Arkansas comes in 28-13(10-8) and ranked #7 after being swept by Mississippi State.

Players to watch

Freshman OF Heston Kjerstad leads the Razorbacks with a .368 average after starting in all 41 games this season. He also leads the team with 57 hits and 37 RBIs.

Junior OF Eric Cole leads the Razorbacks with 39 runs scored.

Prediction

The Red Raiders have struggled this season on the road, particularly to ranked opponents. Despite dropping game three to the Sooners, however, Texas Tech seems to be firing on all cylinders. Add the fact that the Razorbacks are currently on a three game losing streak, this series is a sweep for the Red Raiders as long as they continue to play at as high a level as they have been.
