Red Raider baseball falls to OU in series finale

Despite attempts to recover, it was simply not enough

The Texas Tech Red Raiders take the series against the University of Oklahoma Sooners, but fall short in the series finale.

The Red Raiders used a total of eight pitchers in Sunday’s game. John McMillon was first on the mound with 97 pitches in five innings. He allowed seven hits, three runs, and three walks while also striking out five. Ty Harpenau took over for McMillon in the sixth. In 13 pitches, he allowed two runs and two hits. John Henry Gonzalez had 29 pitches and allowed four hits and two runs. Also pitching for the Red Raiders were Dylan Dusek, Kurt Wilson, Caleb Freeman, Richard Gilbert, and Connor Queen.

Grant Little had the only home run of the afternoon. This is Little’s ninth homer of the season. Josh Jung and Zayne Willems each had two hits and one run. Jung also finished the afternoon with two RBIs. Cody Farhat and Gabe Holt also scored.

The Red Raiders face the Arkansas Razorbacks on Tuesday in Fayetteville.
