The latest d1baseball.com ranking gave Texas Tech a long-awaited good news: the Red Raiders are again in the top 5, after a 3-1 week that included a sweep over Kansas State and an unlucky loss to Dallas Baptist.
The team led by Tim Tadlock gained its position overtaking Ole Miss, that had a rough week losing two games at Vanderbilt, while also East Carolina lost its spot in the top 10 after losing two home games against South Florida. Those were the only changes atop the ranking.
The Big 12 now has three teams in the top 25 after Oklahoma lost two home games against Texas: the Sooners lost two spots, ranking now at no. 22, while the Longhorns returned among the top teams with these victories and are at no. 21.
