No. 4 TexasTech takes game one of the series against K-State

They defeated the Wildcats 21-4 on Friday night

The high winds could not keep the Texas Tech Red Raiders from defeating Kansas State, as they defeated the Wildcats 21-4.

First on the mound was Davis Martin. In five innings and 81 pitches he struck out seven and only allowed two hits and two walks. John Henry Gonzalez entered to pitch at the start of the sixth inning. While he did manage a scoreless sixth inning, the seventh wasn’t as easy. In just over two innings and 66 pitches he allowed three hits, two runs, and four walks while also striking out six. Connor Queen was last to pitch for the Red Raiders, he allowed two hits and two runs in 40 pitches.

Grant Little had a heck of a night with two home runs and nine RBIs. He ties the school record for most RBIs in a game. In two at bats he managed four hits and two runs. Zach Rheams and Cody Farhat also had home runs Friday night. Brian Kline also deserves honorable mention for his six runs on Friday night. Kline matched a school record for runs in a game set by Jon Slack in 2002.
