Texas Tech Red Raiders drop their conference opener at Baylor on Friday night. The final score was 2-0.

Davis Martin got the start for the Red Raiders today. In the seven innings he pitched, he allowed four hits and two runs. He also had an impressive 10 strikeouts beating a career-high of seven strikeouts. He was replaced by Kurt Wilson. He had a perfect inning with no hits, no runs, and no errors.

Josh Jung put an impressive diving stop on a two-hopper to end the second inning. Michael Davis managed a blooper into no-man’s land in right-center, but his attempt was cut short when Cody Masters was flied out to end the inning. The Red Raiders did scatter six hits throughout the game, but were 0-3 with runners in scoring position.

The Red Raiders will face the Baylor Bears again on Saturday at 2:05 PM.
