Hitter of the week: Grant Little

Little has gone from a table setter to a power hitter

Our hitter of the week is none other than Grant Little. Last season Little spent most of his time in the leadoff spot for the Red Raiders. Hitting leadoff he compiled a .335 batting average. This success in getting on base allowed him to lead the team in runs scored last season.

More of the same was expected from little this season. But he has found a power surge to start this season. This week alone he had 5 RBI, 4 runs scored, and 1 Home Run in 4 games. Little is now hitting in the middle of the lineup and adding much-needed power to our lineup behind Jung and Koelzer.

Not only is he hitting for power though, he is also hitting for average as he went 7-14 this week. Little has the making of a special season brewing and his newly developed power game will allow the Red Raiders to put even more pressure on opposing pitching staffs.
